The concept of the joint Honda booth is “Movement,” expressing Honda’s passion to create new movements by continuously introducing new products and technologies which are beyond the expectations of customers in China.
The display will include Insight, CR-Z and Fit Hybrid, three hybrid models Honda is planning to introduce to the market next year. Also on display will be Honda’s electromotive technologies including the Fit EV (demomstration testingvehicle), which will be used in demonstration testing starting this month in the city of Guangzhou. Moreover, for the first time in China, Honda will exhibit U3-X, one of the product applications of Honda Robotics*, a compact one-wheel drive personal mobility device which provides free movement in all directions – forward, backward, side-to-side, and diagonally.
In addition to introducing the Elysion (concept model), which will go on sale next year, Dongfeng Honda announced CIIMO as the name of the new model it independently developed utilizing the platform of the 8th generation Civic to reflect the particular needs of customers in China.
- “Honda Robotics” is a collective name for robotics technologies and all product applications created through Honda’s humanoid robotics research
